Godalming in Bloom is a fun and friendly annual gardening competition, open to anyone and everyone who gardens in the GU7 areas of Binscombe, Busbridge, Farncombe and Godalming.

It is a competition to allow the residents of Godalming to celebrate gardens and gardening, from the humble hanging basket to wildflower meadows and everything in between.

What we do

For the last thirty one years, we have been running an annual gardening competition, open to all residents of GU7. In June each year our team of volunteers visits schools, allotments, community gardens, restaurants, pubs, shops, cafes, offices - anywhere and everywhere there are plants and gardening.

We visit private gardens of all sizes and meet gardeners of all levels of experience. Godalming in Bloom is a true celebration of gardening, culminating in the whole community coming together for a prize giving evening in July.

Who can enter?

For our private garden and allotment competitions, quite simply anyone can enter, provided your garden or allotment is in the GU7 postcode area. Once entered, we will contact you to arrange a visit from our team on a pre-arranged day in June. (Schools, community gardens and commercial properties - you don't need to enter. We'll contact you!)
