Allotment holders across Farncombe and Godalming's eight allotment sites produce an amazing array of vegetables, fruit and flowers every year and help to support beneficial insects, birds and other wildlife. 

Our judges visit plots in late June and are on the lookout for:

• a well-stocked, attractive plot with a broad range of healthy, sturdy crops and successional sowings

• organic methods of pest control

• no-dig / deep bed methods of cultivation

• originality of layout and planting

• ingenuity in overcoming problems

• water conservation measures (water butts, mulching, etc)

• eco-friendliness (composting, companion planting, habitats for wildlife, etc)
