The school gardens vary hugely in size and style, from large forest garden areas to ingenious collections of planters in a corner of the playground, depending on available space. The judges are always hugely impressed by the energy and enthusiasm of the children, who love to show them round the results of all their hard work!

Our 2026 theme for school gardens is "I love my wildlife-friendly garden". This year we are also holding a poster design competition to accompany this, open to all pre-school, infant and junior school-age children who live or go to school in the GU7 area.
